TIMESHOCK!

A PRO PINBALL SIMULATION

FEATURES

Pro Pinball - Timeshock! is simply the most realistic pinball simulation ever. Here are just some of the features you can look forward to:

  • All-new play modes - Novice Mode, Challenge Mode, Regular Mode and Tournament Mode.

  • Huge variations in gameplay as Timeshock! is set in four different timezones each requiring subtle changes in tactics. There are also many, many secret modes and hidden features that you'll simply have to play to discover.

  • A full 'operator's menu' which, when the player is good enough, allows them to fully customise the game. Check on game stats, average scores and game lengths, the number of jackpots, special features and many, many more. It's as if you've got your own pinball table at home, you'll even get an authentic 'pinball manual' - just like the real thing.

  • Vastly improved mechanical sound effects. You can even turn off the music and in-game sound effects - so you can clearly hear the table mechanisms, the balls rolling and bouncing around the table, and even flying up and striking the glass cover.

  • All-new ball physics with no random element, as the detail of the simulation ensures that the same thing never happens twice. Even the balls affect the actions of the flippers - something never properly simulated on a computer pinball game before. A "dead-catch" is at last possible - flippers simply don't get more realistic than these outside of your local pub.

  • A fully international Timeshock! score ladder will be available on these WWW pages. Players will be able to play games over the Internet, competing with one another or simply spectating to learn tricks from the Pros. The Internet support will be available after release as a free upgrade.

  • Animated toys on-screen. The time crystal rotates around to divert ball to special areas on the table. Plus Magno-Lock Ö magnetically picks up balls and stores them for later use - you can see the balls stack-up on-screen.

  • Resolution choice from 640x480 in 256 colours through to 1600*1200 in true colour. Accurately showing minuscule details so you'll be able to read the text on the table, and even examine screw tops, electrical wiring and filaments in the bulbs.

  • A new dot matrix display with twice the frame rate and four times the resolution of The Web. The number of animations has also been greatly increased compared to the original of the series.

  • The electronic's act as they would on a real table - from the visible moving switches to the innermost workings of the flipper assembly.

  • Eight different viewing angles instead of the previous six.

  • Fully user definable controls.

  • A completely new rendering system, on Silicon Graphics platforms using Alias PowerAnimator for even more realistic and detailed graphics.

  • Fully animated slings, jets, switches, and divertors.

  • Flashers (super bright big lights) and spectacular, never-before-seen illumination effects.

  • Magno-SaveÖ and Magno-LockÖ and Lock-O-Meter features.

  • A "super zoom" mode that enables the player to examine any part of the table in extreme close-up.

  • Over Thirty quality tunes taking almost 3/4's of the CD composed by Stiff Little Fingers' Bruce Foxton and Jake Burns.

  • Many more quality Sound Effects, all offered in Dolby Surround SoundÖ.

  • Much more varied speech and effects than The Web.

  • Full English, French, German, Spanish and Italian option screens.
